Remarks & Notes

Led by a Conrail GP7, the Interlake Steel bottle train is seen on the former South Chicago & Southern at Calumet Park Junction. This line would be abandoned by Conrail in the 1990s causing Amtrak to reroute their Indianapolis to Chicago passenger service. Tom Golden photo.
