| The locomotives of the 1200 class where designed by Baldwin,USA and build by Werkspoor and Heemaf in the Netherlands. The 1221 was on its way with a short intercity from Maastricht to Zandvoort aan Zee. The 100 year old bridge was replaced in 1983 / 1984 by a new one. And traffic on this route has massively increased: from two short trains each hour to four long doubledeck trainsets each our. By the end of 2017 this part of the route will be served every ten minutes by an intercity. |
