| The quietness of a spring morning, as the sun slowly peaks the hills, is disturbed by the high pitched whine of dynamic braking units working in unison to bring their train of mixed goods down the mountain and soon after into the San Joaquin Valley. The sun catches the side of the train while it drifts out of Caliente, approaching the short canyon to the west.
