A vintage train charter approaches Ross Hill tunnel (no. 7) en-route to Whangarei. Rumour has it that this could be the last passenger train allowed on this rustic and scenic route. The line passes through 13 tunnels in rugged terrain and has been under threat of closure for years due to maintenance costs exceeding revenue.
