Remarks & Notes

This is one of the last trains to leave Tower Colliery (which has now closed) on the Welsh Valleys lines, marking the end of an era. In the pouring rain, 66116 on the 6C47, passes through Pontypridd station en-route to Newport ADJ and then later to Hope in Derbyshire, England.
