Another locomotive consist like in the USA! Five locomotives in front of a train are seldom seen in Switzerland. Intermodal train 43791 from Müllheim/Germany to Gallarate/Italy (Busto Arsizo Terminal) via Hauenstein-Lötschberg-Simplon, pulled by Re 620 # 068, Re 420 # 343, Re 420 # 279, Re 421 # 3.. and Re 420 # 3.. near Bollodingen between Olten and Berne. The last locomotive has the pantographs down. There are maximum 20 traction motors running in multiple allowed. The 4 working locomotives use 18 motors. Because the line between Cadenazzo and Luino, south from the Gotthard, is closed for trackworks, all trains to and from Gallarate/Italy are diverted via the Lötschberg-Simplon route instead of the Gotthard till december of this year.
