Accidental meeting of the two 250 km/h highspeed train types of the SBB on the Gotthard Base Tunnel bypass of Biasca, called Pollegio binario di sorpasso. The photographer was on the right position when the new "Giruno" RABe 501 # 001 of Stadler Rail for the SBB, on its very first test run through the Gotthard Base Tunnel (GBT), met the RABe 503 # 018 tilting train from Alstom, running as Eurocity 18 from Milano to Zürich. The Giruno (left) was running about 100 km/h, the Eurocity (right) with 200 km/h!
