With many of its siblings in storage or in the deadline, CSX EMD SD40-2 No. 8856 earns its keep during this July 3rd perspective on the head end of CSX Q302 in the South Charleston yard. The train is headed to Richmond, Va., from Russell, Ky., with a mixed freight train in tow.
