CN 5108 leads another SD40 on a westbound grain train, rolling by an eastbound mostly vehicle train at Conrad siding along the Fraser River west of Cisco, BC. It always amazed me that CN could move these heavy trains with a pair of non-dynamic brake 3000 HP units through the Canadian coastal mountains. Railroads today seem to throw a lot more horsepower at their trains.
A compilation of my favorite photographs taken from a slightly different point of view, images that catch your eye right from the thumbnail. These aren't your typical 3/4 wedgie aim & shoot pix, but well executed compositions, truly works of art.
