A new landmark is taking shape in lower Manhattan as Lehigh Valley SW8 274 switches a carfloat at the railroad's Jersey City float bridge, located on what today is a totally redeveloped waterfront of office towers and parks that is devoid of rail activity. That would have been hard to envision at the time. But much more importantly, in 1970 no one could have imagined what the future held for the World Trade Center.
