What a photo angle this would have been for shooting the Milwaukee Road! A train would emerge from Tunnel 9, slalom through the remainder of 16-Mile canyon, cross 16-Mile Creek twice, then make a hard left over the NP and Missouri River before disappearing into the shadows on the west bank! While I'm sure that someone made the trek up here, I've never seen the shot. In modern times, one must settle for the ghosts of the Milwaukee, yet the former NP, now operated by MRL, still sends plenty of trains through the ghost town of Lombard.
