Having just met Metrolink 119 at the north end of the siding, Amtrak 790 enters the city of Camarillo as it continues south for Los Angeles. Those with sharp eyes will notice the speciality on 790 today...no, not that there's two units on this end of the train either. With a towering palm tree casting a slim shadow onto it, Amtrak's sole-operating Great Dome Car, the "Ocean View," is seen during its return to a regularly scheduled Pacific Surfliner train after almost a seven year absence. The car will spend less than a month operating on trains between San Luis Obispo and San Diego this summer before being released for service elsewhere.
