| For the third weekend in a row Conrail YPPR-32 detoured via the Lehigh Line and Port Reading Secondary due to trackwork on the Garden State Secondary. NS 1700, the EL heritage unit, had been the star of the show the previous two weekends. On this day NS SD45-2 1703 has that honor. Any chance to see a former Erie Lackawanna SD45-2 leading a train at speed on the main line is most welcomed! It certainly beats the endless parade of GEVOs and Dash 9s that are so prevalent here. |
