A thunderstorm and an eastbound freight train roll across the Illinois prairie on a gloomy late summer night. The signals here at Edelstein aren't long for the world, as crews are quickly working eir way up the Chillicothe Subdivision replacing the AT&SF searchlights that have given this line its character for decades.
For the train and storm chaser. Trains with thunderstorms, dark clouds, rain, lightning, hurricanes - tropical storms, funnel clouds, storm light, rainbows, and snow storms.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
