After a couple hour delay in Lynchburg, VA on Saturday, April 9th, N&W 611 is finally southbound on the return trip to Spencer, NC over the famous double track steel viaduct in Altavista, VA, along with NS Southern Heritage Unit #8099 and NCTM F-Unit #6133 with “The Virginian.” A young enthusiastic railfan is pacing the train as it cross the bridge.
