Usually once a year, there are "cab rides" over the Gotthard mountain line to Bodio and back with the classic Gotthard locomotive Ae 6/6 # 11411 "Zug" of SBB Historic, based in Erstfeld. The 6000 HP locomotive was delivered to the SBB on september 18th, 1956, built by SLM, BBC and MFO, and is kept in immaculate condition by the crew of Erstfeld shed, mainly Robert Schlatter. The iconic chromium decorated locomotive just crossed the middle Meienreuss bridge at Wassen and is running through the impressive rock cutting on the middle level of the loops.
