| 2-10-0 four cylinder compound freight train steamlocomotive C 5/6 "Elephant" # 2969 of association Eurovapor Lokremise Sulgen made the shuttle service between Romanshorn station and the Locorama for the first time on this day. The locomotive was built by SLM in 1916 for the SBB and pulled the last steam train of the SBB in 1968. Then it was displayed at Winterthur near the SLM works for about 30 years. After nearly 20 years hard work it is operational again sice a few days, not all finished yet. Now the locomotive is back in Sulgen and running backwards to her small wooden shed there. |
