Remarks & Notes
Vermont Rail System rarely uses the SD70M-2 duo on the same train as bridge weight requires separation of the pair by at least one 4-axle. On Saturday, September 16, VRS paired the 70s, 431 and 432, separated by GMTX GP38-2 2202 and is seen downgrade on the grade at Smithville, VT.

The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.
