Remarks & Notes
The Vet's Paint Scheme Debuts on Veterans Day. Just miles away from competing its first revenue trip to San Diego on its first day in service wearing the resplendent veterans paint scheme, AMTK 90208 pounds the diamonds at San Pedro Junction on the point of Amtrak 777. After completing its station work at LAUPT, the 90208 will ride the rear of 777 all the way to San Luis Obispo going on to lead the following day's 774 from San Luis Obispo to Los Angeles. This somewhat rare placement of an NPCU on a double-decker trainset is to show off the newly painted unit over the length of the entire LOSSAN corridor - a fitting 'salute to our veterans' on Veterans Day 2016.

Cab cars are special built coaches that are heavier than normal and have a cab for push/pull operations. This also includes NPCUs, but not road slugs.
