Remarks & Notes
After Detroit had completely abandoned their streetcar system the DEPARTMENT OF STREET RAILWAYS sold the entire fleet of relatively new PCC cars to Mexico City. Before sending the cars south of the border, the interiors were spiffed up and the exteriors painted cream and green over the previous cream and red. These cars are ready for shipment. The building visible at the rear of the photo with a water tank and tall stacks is the Highland Park factory where millions of Model T Ford's were once built.
