Remarks & Notes
Splitting Eardrums

Reading & Northern's ex-GM&O Pacific has a bit of a reputation for being one really loud locomotive. It doesn't help that the narrow walls of the Lehigh Gorge only add to the cacophony. It's hard to imagine what this spot would have sounded like when the anthracite roads' steam raced up and down the grade, but 425 does a good job of giving a flashback to that era and splitting eardrums on her own.
