It's a historic morning at Laws as Southern Pacific No. 18, beautifully restored by the dedicated men and women of the Carson & Colorado Railway, readies for the first trip of the day at the original Southern Pacific Railroad Laws depot. Standing sentinel against the test of time in the foreground is Southern Pacific Railroad No. 9, stuffed and mounted on display for visitors to the Laws Railroad Museum with a variety of cars behind it. This Friday-Saturday event, dubbed the "Slim Princess Reunion," was the first time No. 18 had run on home rails since 1954 - more than 60 years!
