The New Haven retired the last of its classic EP-4 class passenger electrics in 1961, but three of them remained in storage until 1968, only to be cut up in the railroad's final days. Having been moved to the scrap tracks at the north end of Cedar Hill Yard in New Haven, EP-4 361 stood among pieces of its departed sisters as the end approached.
