Rarin' to go: A six pack of Minturn helpers are cut-in to an eastbound manifest and ready to shove up the Eagle River canyon and into the high country across Tennessee Pass. What a piece of railroad that was! The Rio Grande was a very efficiently run operation and perhaps one of the last to have a fairly tight-knit, family atmosphere - like the old Reading Lines, and many more that you may remember.
