Deseret Power’s empty train is tiptoeing at 5 mph here over a newly replaced rail under the watchful eyes of a couple of the MOW crew who are behind the train and down the embankment out of sight. The replaced rail can be barely seen alongside the track just ahead of the engine. The crew made a total of 3 welds here between the time the loaded train passed westbound and the time it returned empty eastbound. When the empty train stopped short of the rail replacement, the crew went to lunch back at the shop.
