Some of my friends have been known to refer to N&W/NS high-hood units as bricks, as they have the profile of a dark, nondescript rectangle. Perhaps the only locomotive more fitting of the title is the PRR/PC/CR E44 electric. Here an example stands outside the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania engine house, with fresh touch-ups to the frame and cab.
