Remarks & Notes

Following Penn Central's takeover of the New Haven, classic GG1 electrics quickly took over all passenger trains between Penn Station and New Haven. Now at home in former NH territory, GG1 4901 swung into the Bridgeport station with a Boston-bound train on a winter afternoon. In 1973, this 1904 station was replaced by the current Bridgeport station a quarter mile west.
