HXN5B locomotive adopts alternating current drive and microcomputer control, modular design, outer corridor frame bearing type body structure, equipped with R12V280ZJ type electronic control injection diesel engine, single pull rod bogie. Compared with the existing shunting locomotives in China, the traction performance of the locomotive is greatly improved. At the same time, the optimization design of locomotive reliability, applicability, comfort, maintainability and lookout condition is carried out. The locomotive adopts electronic fuel injection, high pressure variable nozzle pressurization, temperature control fan speed and other energy-saving technologies, with resistance braking, battery auxiliary power supply, AESS and other functions.
