| The first of many old LIRR commuter cars are seen here being loaded onto flatbeds at NY&A's wheelspur yard, on their way to Frontier Industries scrap yard. In the foreground, an M3 electric car awaits its turn while a crane lifts a much older P72 diesel hauled coach off its trucks. The work crew pushed their line of flatbed cars under each cars shell as the cranes held them in the air. These cars were heavily parted out by the LIRR & preservation groups. |
