| RENFE 0-6-0 No 030-2564 arrives at Barca d'Alva with the morning 'Correo', 10.20 from Fuente de San Esteban, one of only two trains a day on this spectacular line. The 0-6-0 was built in 1928 by Construcción Naval at Bilbao. It was only the eighth locomotive built by that company and the series were the last broad gauge 0-6-0s built for use in Spain. The line from Barca d'Alva was closed in 1984 but the track still remains with dreams of being reopened some day. |
