Not So Dried Up Yard
The daily run NS 147 (Cincinnati,OH-Birmingham,AL) is pulling 30 cars for the conductor out of the east side yard lead and on to the 0 track at Control-Point Pratt (MP-336.0) as the crew is picking up, and dropping off block of cars for Chattanooga. This kind of operation has become a common sight now a days here at Debutts Yard since Corporate made the decision to put the hump operation on idle for a undetermined amount of time. With that being said a few train that at one time use to terminate out of Chattanooga has since been abolish, or move to a different Classification Yard throughout the system, and the same goes for trains that was once originated out of here as well. Also a few local job has either be abolish or consolidated into one or two local road freights. Way freight still stop here in Chattanooga only for block pick, and drop off, and crew changes. Classification Yard like Elkhart, Bellevue, Macon, Sheffield, and Birmingham seem to have gain a lot since then, but never the less the show must go on here at Debutts, well in a not so larger scale as it use to be.
