On a quiet Sunday afternoon, Boston & Maine locomotives including an SW8, an F7, and a GP9 wait out the weekend inside the roundhouse at the B&M's Boston Engine Terminal in Charlestown, across the river from North Station. In those days getting permission to shoot photos here was usually just a matter of dropping into the foreman's office and saying hi. A modern MBTA diesel shop now occupies this site.
