Remarks & Notes

A very ancient Est Railway 0-6-0T built in 1858 and later modified with three of its sisters for working the 3.3km long Gargan to Livry tramway in the north east suburbs of Paris. Engine No 0.208 'La Thur' is seen at Livry in August 1926 with its train composed of two double deck carriages and a small single deck 1st Class brake carriage. The line closed four years later. There is a full size replica of this engine plinthed at Vrigne-aux-Bois where there was a similar tramway from Vrigne-Meuse which also closed in 1930 but on which this engine had also worked.
