Remarks & Notes
The wreck train and its crew out of New Haven have just arrived at the site of a 29-car derailment at Shelton, CT, on the NH Maybrook Line and they're ready to go to work. The star of the show is 230-ton capacity steam derrick D-100, one of the New Haven's three "big hooks", which emits the sweet scent of coal smoke as it prepares to attack one end of the pileup.
