CSX's B761 local switches the yard in South Troy during a moderate snowfall. Before the closing of Troy Union Station in 1957, Troy hosted five railroads: the New York Central, the Delaware and Hudson, the Boston and Maine, the Rutland, and the Troy Union Railroad. After the station closed, the D&H pulled its tracks through downtown in 1963, and the B&M pulled its line into North Troy in 1971. Today, the only rail line left is a portion of the former New York Central line in the form of CSX's Troy Industrial Track. CSX's B761 locally typically visits the "Collar City" three times per week.
