Lights in the Twilight

An eastbound stack train, a westbound manifest, and an impatient motorist leave streaks in the twilight at Fostoria, PA

. The center PRR Position light signal shows one of the advantages of these now-endangered signals: bulb redundancy. If any one of the seven lamps burns out, it's still possible to read the signal's aspect, something modern 'Vader' color lights can't do.
