Topping Tin Mill Hill. The mid-day departure of the "1880 Train" is captured here just as it emerges from the woods at the top of Tin Mill Hill. Riding the train up Tin Mill Hill was quite a treat. Although #110 is a brutish log-hog, with nearly 38,000 lbs of tractive effort, she's virtually on her knees in the steepest stretch of this hill, where the grade approaches 6%. Kudos are due to her Engineer and Fireman, who somehow kept the train from stalling out, at least during my ride.
