Self propelled 0-6-0+0-6-0 steam rotary snow blower Xrot d # 9213 of the Rhaetian Railway, built in 1910 by SLM Winterthur for the Bernina Railway, is crossing the bridge over the Ova da Bernina near Morteratsch on a grade of 7.0 %, shoved by dual power diesel/electro locomotive Gem 4/4 # 802 (which is 50 years in service now!). This composition is on the way from Pontresina to Ospizio Bernina for the snow fighting demonstration event. In the background the 4049 meter high Piz Bernina, highest mountain in Grison (left, behind the tree), the 3751 meter high Piz Morteratsch in the middle and the 3352 meter high Piz Boval on the right.
