Until the 1990s, the Argentine train regularly crossed the border to the neighboring country, Paraguay. Then, before crossing the Paraguay River using the new international bridge, the track crossed all the downtown part of the city, allowing the taking of very picturesque photographs like this one. In ancient times, the crossing between countries has done by the use of steam ferries.
