As a thunder head build up in the background indicating that a summer thunderstorm is looming just south of the Cumberland Plateau, we catch a trio of UP motors leading the empty Duke Power CSX E050-11 (Red Level,FL/FNOR-East St.Louis/UP) north through the small farming community of Dechard, TN on it's way back to the western part of the mid-south states. A few days ago this massive 100+ car train had just dump a large load of Powder River coal off at the 860 megawatts Crystal River Nuclear Station just south of Tampa. The train is heading back to the Union Pacific via of the CSX Rose Lake Yard in East St. Louis, and the train will run west back into the Powder River for reloading. Photo from the C.
