| This GP38 was built for the Tennessee Alabama & Georgia Railway in February 1968. When the Southern Railway bought out the TAG in 1970, the Southern shops converted the control stand to have the locomotive run long hood forward with the control stand on the right side of the locomotive. This unit was recently restored. In this photo, the train is being used to haul passengers for the March 2018 Lerro Productions photo charter with steam locomotives #630 and #4501. |
