Remarks & Notes
Maybe not the power you wanted, but the power you need. A variety of factors contributed to Amtrak 114 (P42DC) leading Train 283 on Thursday, March 8, 2018. Normally Amtrak trains are powered exclusively by dual mode P32AC-DMs. There are plethora of landmarks in Irvington, NY including the MP 24, the third rail, the stub ended track 6, and the signature New York Central transmission towers to mark the scene on the Hudson Line.

The beautiful Hudson Valley is rarely out of site between New York and Albany-Rensselaer on Amtrak's busy Empire Corridor.
