The Lake State Railway Saginaw Roundhouse has been an active time machine, housing signs, equipment and other relics that are marked with Chessie System logos and safety inscriptions, while some equipment is still engraved or carries the Pere Marquette name or initials. Several messages on this board reminisce the by-gone era of the Chessie System, including "Purr-fect time is no Injury Time" and "If you were ever tempted to use this timeworn alibi, "I'm only human", just remember that as a human being you should think better, work better, work safer! "I am only human" is no excuse for an accident!
