With the news that the P&A and Tallahassee Subdivisions would be put up for sale I had been trying to get as many shots as I could of the line before it was not under CSX ownership any longer. With the news that all but Q608 and Q609 would be leaving soon I knew I had to shoot what I could as soon as possible. I had wanted to drive out to Tally to shoot the 602 and 601, but 602 was running much earlier than normal, and that would mean I'd miss him, and potentially Q601. Instead I stuck around town to see what I could see, and wound up getting three trains along one of my favorite locations along the CSX system. Q608 lead the charge, and met Q609 at Avalon siding. When Q609 came into Pensacola he met outbound Q606 in the yard. Here is one of the resulting angles from Q606. I'll have a public post on my own facebook profile about the rest of the trains I saw in my 2.5 hour stay down at the bluffs in Pensacola, Florida, to document for potentially on of the last times the P&A sub as a major through route. Thanks for looking!
