Things got a little weird at C&NW's Altoona roundhouse in 1973 and 74. First, leased, then purchased N&W C628s started getting some servicing here, then Altoona became a location to do maintenance on switch engines. Business was growing, and more power needed to be leased, thus this strange match up of two "B" units in the roundhouse together. The UP unit is a GP9B. SD24Bs and even U50s graced the tracks of C&NW during this time.
