NS 8025 Monongahela Heritage unit is seen on the head of the empty NS 61C as the crew get an Advance Approach signal to proceed on to the double track main in to the Chattanooga Terminal (CT) territory. he unit train will arrive at Debutts Yard where the outbound crew will board and take the train north back to the rust belt The Monongahela Railroad was founded in 1915 was a coal-hauling short line railroad in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The railroad was jointly controlled by the Pennsylvania Railroad, New York Central subsidiary Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad, and the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, with NYC and PRR later succeeded by Penn Central Transportation in the 60s. The company operated its own line until it was merged into Conrail on May 1, 1993. The gray paint with the white strip was a popular scheme that was seen of the "Super 7s."
