Remarks & Notes

The Chicago, Madison & Northern was a short-lived (1980-82) railroad that operated former Illinois Central and Milwaukee Road branchline trackage in southern Wisconsin. The star of the CM&N's diesel roster was F7 564, a former Rio Grande unit, which posed in its fresh paint during a weekend layover at Monroe, WI.
