Remarks & Notes
Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) PCC streetcar No. 3254 is about to enter the dark environs of the old Ashmont station on September 12, 2003. This station, which serves busses, MBTA’s Red Line, as well as the 2.6-mile extension of the Red Line—the Ashmont to Mattapan High Speed Line, which is exclusively operated by PCC streetcars. This line was closed in 2006-07 when several stations were completely rebuilt, including the Ashmont station.
