Remarks & Notes 
One of the more unique trains to catch on the Lake State Railway is the 90-car CSXT grain express interchanged off of the Mid Michigan Railroad on the short LSRC Paines Subdivision at Shields, Michigan. On May 15 the timing and lighting worked out to produce this waterfront image of LSRC SD40-2s 6305 and 6303 running in the HESR Paines Sub trackage rights back to the LSRC at Saginaw, MI.
