Shaoshan type 7D electric locomotive (SS7D) is one of the electric locomotives of China Railway. It is a quasi high speed trunk line passenger locomotive designed to meet the needs of China's railway speed increase, especially the Zhengzhou to Xi'an section of Longhai railway. It is connected by Datong Locomotive Factory, Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute and Chengdu locomotive and rolling stock factory in 1999. With the successful development, 59 units were produced by 2002, all of which are allocated to the Xi'an locomotive depot of Xi'an Railway Administration. The continuous power of Shaoshan 7D electric locomotive is 4800 kilowatts, the maximum speed is 170 km / h. The main features are the use of three segment half control bridge rectifier circuit, feed resistance brake, traction motor frame bearing full suspension, independent ventilation system and so on.
